Tiger Moth Brief History
Our classic de Havilland Tiger Moth was built in the 1930s Once flown by the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a primary training aircraft under the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan, the Tiger Moth introduced thousands of military pilots to the thrill of flight. The de Havilland Tiger Moth (DH82A) is an iconic British plane, first flown in 1931 but became a trainer after being replaced in the 1950s. It was extensively operated by the Australian Royal Air Force between 1940 and 1957 for training. The Royal Australian Navy also operated a small number between 1948 and 1958.

EXCELLENT Based on 118 reviews Posted on Ravi KalidindiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lots of trainee pilots. Unfortunately I did not have the luxury of getting on a 2 seater plane or a chopper 😔Posted on Glen NielsenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Learn the wonders of flying, enjoy scenic flights to Rottnest or take a Tiger Moth flight. It's all at the Royal Aero Club of WAPosted on Peter - TheNomad.familyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I'm a private pilot from Germany, currently traveling the world with my family. I try to fly wherever we stay for an extended period and, if possible, obtain a license. I had already completed the paperwork with CASA and only needed a flight review to activate my license. I contacted the Royal Aero Club by email a few weeks before arriving in Perth and received a detailed reply outlining the requirements for the flight review and offering their assistance. Since I hadn't flown in a long time—the last time was in New Zealand in March—I arranged a training flight. The flight instructor was Pia Durk. She is a great and patient flight instructor and helped me refresh my rusty flying skills. Due to time constraints and bad weather, I wasn't able to schedule another training session or flight review, but I'll try again elsewhere. Overall, I was very pleased with my visit to the Royal Aero Club and the entire process. It's great that guest pilots from other countries are welcome here too.Posted on Mert Can YakarTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nick and I did the Learn to Fly Day, incredible instructors, smooth flight, and the best way to feel like pilots for an hour 😅✈️Posted on Ken WallisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Always a great place to wait a while. Aircraft and friendly people.
