Inspiring Future Aviators

The Young Eagles program offers an unforgettable aviation experience for aspiring pilots aged 10-14, giving them a taste of flying before they’re old enough to begin official training!

Designed as a hands-on, activity-based holiday program, participants will engage in an immersive introduction to the world of aviation, with sessions held both at our Club in Jandakot and exciting excursions to our neighbouring aviation facilities.

Details

Cost: $599 inc GST (including the flight)

What to bring: Bring a small bag with morning tea, lunch and a water bottle.

Duration: Running over 4 days from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Drop-off & Pick-up: Extended drop-off from 8:15 am and pick-up until 3:45 pm available.

    Take your first steps in understanding navigation with a lesson on the basic principles of aircraft navigation.

    Explore Jandakot Airport’s emergency gates and learn how airports handle safety.

  • Model Aircraft
    Enjoy hands-on activities with model planes to deepen your understanding of flight mechanics.

    Connect with experienced pilots and other young people passionate about aviation.

  • Scenic Flight Over Perth
    Experience the thrill of flight with a 45-minute scenic journey over Perth’s cityscape and beaches, included in the program pricing.

Holiday Program

Joining our 4-day holiday program is a fantastic way to experience what flying is all about.

Lead by our professional flight instructors, young aviators will be immersed in aviation activities at the Club and have the opportunity to meet our friends from the RAC Helicopter Rescue, DFES, or Police Air Wing (dependant on callouts), learning more about the services they provide our vast state and of course seeing their aircraft!

They will learn radio procedures, navigation and how to conduct a pre-flight inspection before joining a 45-minute scenic flight over Perth beaches & Rottnest island.

All Young Eagles receive a gift bag containing a hat, high-vis vest and pen and will be awarded a certificate at the end of the week for completing the program.
